Today on LL, the Cork Dorks celebrated Paso’s 2019 harvest, by bringing in three different producers who will all be doing something special Oct 18-20, known as Harvest Wine Weekend.
We had Central Coast Wine Competition’s Grower of the Year, Paul Hoover from Still Waters Vineyards in studio. He’s always such a good guest. From his super friendly personality, to his decades of Paso growing experience, he never lets us down.
We also had Joe Barton from Grey Wolf, and Barton Family Wines. Literally. the first guest EVER of The Cork Dorks, Joe-G always brings it.
We also were joined by Victoria and Hal Schmitt of Volatus Wines. These guys make a small amount of wines, all with an aviation theme, as their winemaker Hal has all too much experience as a fighter pilot in the US Navy.
To wrangle these characters in, we had Chris Taranto from The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, who has done a great job with he and his team in making Paso recognized and appreciated as a world class wine region.
