Krush Lounge Mark Adams & Tim Bluhm 5/29/20

This week, we got some Zoom hang time with local musician and winemaker, Mark Adams (Onetime Spaceman, Mark Adams Band, Ledge Vineyards) and Bay Area based musician Tim Bluhm (The Mother Hips, solo and numerous other musical adventures). These two go way back to their college days at Chico State and have been working on a couple of cool collaboration projects for us.

We talk to the guys about the roots of country music through two tribute albums. First, we share a track from the latest Mark Adams Band release, “Loaded with Lefty: A Tribute to Lefty Frizzel.” This one is out now with Mark Adams at the front and Tim Bluhm in the producers seat. Next, a couple of rough cut, unmixed previews from the forth coming Tim Bluhm release “Hag Heaven: A Tribute to Merle Haggard” that sees the guys switch seats, putting Tim at the front and Mark driving as producer.

It wouldn’t be a proper session with our friend Mark Adams without getting a little weird, right? Mark also shares a throwback tune from 2017 that’s super vibey and kinda connects with the current state of our lives in quarantine.

Our conversation takes us into some quarantine time chatter, Mark’s loss of long time friend and collaborator David Vaught and we stumble upon a bit of interesting contrast in our repective lives growing up in the Country area of Templeton versus the Beach and Valley communities of Southern California.

Hop in for an always intersting hang and some seriously good tunes with Mark Adams and Tim Bluhm.
